Oczywiście ci bogatsi, bądź bardziej wygodniccy mogą się zdecydować na bezpośredni pociąg relacji Warszawa – Bukareszt. Dla reszty mam kilka propozycji.
W północne rejony kraju najtaniej jest jechać przez Ukrainę. Zaskakującym jest, że na tak długą granicę są tylko dwa przejścia graniczne rumuńsko-ukraińskie. Jedno w Sirecie a drugie w Sygiecie Marmoroskim. Także musimy się dostać bądź do Suceavy, bądź do Sygietu (Syghetu Marmatiei).
- Do Suceavy prostszy wariant, to autobus relacji Przemyśl – Suceava. Kursuje raz w tygodniu. Z Przemyśla wyjeżdża w piątki o 7.30 a dojeżdża planowo o 22.00. Z tym planowym dojazdem to bywa różnie. Kolejki na granicach bywają dość spore i zdarzało mi się docierać koło trzeciej nad ranem. Z Suceavy wyrusza w środy o 4.30 czasu rumuńskiego.
- Do Suceavy można dotrzeć też transportem łączonym. Najpierw do Czerniowiec na Ukrainie (ze Lwowa zdaje się, że dwa pociągi dziennie). Potem autobusem (bodajże o 7.00 czasu ukraińskiego). Z tego co wiem, to jak przyjeżdża poranny pociąg relacji Lwów – Czerniowce, to pod dworcem kolejowym ustawiają sie busiki do Suceavy. Jest jeszcze pociąg relacji Czerniowce – Suceava, ale tego rozwiązania nie polecam. Drogo i bardzo długo jedzie.
- Jadąc w Maramuresz wygodniej będzie dotrzeć do Sygietu i skorzystać z nowo otwartego przejścia granicznego. Z resztą piękn, historyczny most nad Cisą został wyremontowany. W tym przypadku należy dotrzeć do Solotviny (jeden pociąg dziennie ze Lwowa, kilka autobusów dziennie z Mukaczewa). A potem to już spacerkiem na drugą stronę Cisy. To przejście jest dużo przyjemniejsze niż w Sirecie. Mniej ludzi, w zasadzie bez kolejek.
Do centralnej i południowej Rumunii chyba wygodniej będzie jechać przez Słowację i Węgry, ale tego połączenia nie testowałem.
Na miejscu mamy do dyspozycji komunikację kolejową i autobusową. A tam gdzie nie dojadą, pozostaje autostop. Bardzo popularny w Rumunii sposób przemieszczania. W każdych miejscowościach są miejsca, gdzie zwyczajowo zbierają się ludzie łapać okazję. Najczęściej są to ważniejsze skrzyżowania, czy przystanki autobusowe. Tam ustawia się kolejka do stopa a do samochodu wsiada tyle osób ile się zmieści. Zdarza się, że trzeba będzie kierowcy zapłacić za przyjazd. Z reguły jest to równowartość biletu autobusowego na danej trasie.
